Tested by the Military for Airworthiness
Both the Nonin 9500 and 9550 have been tested by the U.S. Army and Air Force for airworthiness and are the only fingertip oximeters approved for use aboard U.S. military aircraft. To achieve this, the 9500 and 9550 were subjected to a battery of environmental and performance tests. The 9500 and 9550 successfully maintained performance and accuracy under these demanding environmental conditions. These tests included:
