INFO

The CO Experts Monitor model 2010 is the most sensitive CO detector you can buy and it is EXCLUSIVELY sold in the aviation market by Aeromedix.com.

CO - Experts Low Level CO "Health" Monitors are the only CO detection products that give you IMMEDIATE warnings at 7, 25, 35, 50, 70, and 100PPM, all in REAL Time, and offers you a "Hush / Silence" Feature, and automatic "Hush-Overrides" at all warning levels, if the CO level present continues to rise to the next higher level. The monitor's digital display provides resolution of one part per million. The CO Experts Monitors are fully Self-Monitored, including Sensor Accuracy and an "End of Life" Warning. The expected "lifetime" of the monitor is 5-7 years. The BEST Possible Protection from Chronic Low Level Carbon Monoxide Poisoning can be yours for LESS THAN $1.00 a WEEK!

It is also the BEST, FASTEST responding residential smoke/fire alarm in the world*. We recommend this unit for aviation, home, car/truck and other critical applications. Because of its high sensitivity and low alarm threshold, however, we do not recommend this product for use in environments where CO levels of 7 PPM or more are routinely encountered. (Nor do we recommend spending any more time in such environments than absolutely necessary!).

The CO Experts Monitor model 2010 provides both audio and visual alarms starting at 7 PPM, while UL - 2034 listed CO alarms are required to begin alerts at 30 PPM! This low level alert bests all UL listed CO detectors by 23 PPM!

Five Alarm Levels:

0-6 PPM - display shows 0 PPM
7-24 PPM - 3 cycles of 4 beeps a minute
25-34 PPM - 3 cycles, 2 times a minute
35-49 PPM - 3 cycles, 3 times a minute
50 PPM and higher - 5 times a minute

Hush / Silence Feature

Repeated beeping of a CO or smoke alarm can be very nerve racking and frustrating. Unfortunately, some of our cities frequently experience poor air quality, resulting in ambient CO levels in excess of 7PPM, which could result in a constant CO warning from your CO Experts 2010 alarm. Therefore, the Model 2010 is designed so that simply depressing the “Test / Hush / Reset” button continuously for 8 seconds will SILENCE the beeping for up to 24 hours if the level of CO present is between 7 & 25 PPM. At higher warning levels the Monitor will be SILENCED for the period of time indicated in the table below. Please note that at 70 PPM and higher the period of SILENCE is only 4 minutes, this is done to urge you to take IMMEDIATE ACTION to get to fresh air. If, after the “HUSH” feature is activated, the level of CO rises to a higher threshold, your monitor will automatically reactivate the audible alarm.

Hush Cycles:

7 PPM - 24 hours
25 PPM - 60 minutes
35 PPM - 30 minutes
50 PPM - 15 minutes
70 PPM - 4 minutes

An extensive "fail-safe" design monitors the sensor, electronics and battery. Any detected failure results in a single "chirp" of the audible alarm and a single flash of the red LED once a minute, with the error condition indicated on the LCD display. Possible indications are "BAT" for low-battery, "ERR" for a failure of the electronics, and "SENSOR END" for a sensor failure (or end-of-life).

THIS CO MONITOR IS DESIGNED TO ALERT YOU OF VERY LOW LEVELS OF CARBON MONOXIDE WHICH SHOULD PREVENT YOU FROM EVER SUFFERING SERIOUS CARBON MONOXIDE EXPOSURE. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION SERVES AS A GUIDELINE FOR ACTION AT VARIOUS CO LEVELS.

DISPLAY SHOWS 0 PPM...

No Action Required

DISPLAY SHOWS 7 PPM to 24 PPM

Call your HVAC service

DISPLAY SHOWS 25 PPM to 34 PPM

Open windows & call HVAC service

DISPLAY SHOWS 35 ppm to 49 ppm

Immediately open doors and windows; call your HVAC Service Company; watch your monitor closely. If CO Level continues to rise, Call 911 and EXIT the building.

DISPLAY SHOWS 50 or HIGHER

Exit building or area at once; call 911 and HVAC Service from your cell phone or another location.  DO NOT re-enter home or building until you are told by professionals that it is safe.

Aviation Consumer tested a previous CO Experts model and rated it a Top Value for accurate, low-level CO readings:

"The CO Experts Model 1070 consistently alarmed according to its manufacturers specs, which are in line with how we expect a cockpit CO detector to function."

*All fires produce CO. The level of CO present will exceed 7PPM very, very quickly, while the fire is in the incipient stage, often while still invisible to the human eye. This monitor will detect the presence of CO at 7PPM and will alarm far faster than any other product ever offered in the history of residential detection.

OTHER INFO and FEEDBACK

IMPORTANT NOTE:

We recommend that any CO detector (including the CO Experts & Pocket CO models we sell) should not be left for any extended period of time in aircraft that are not hangared or vehicles that are not garaged. The interior temperatures of closed aircraft or motor vehicles left out in the sun can easily reach 120°F or more, and such temperatures can result in accelerated evaporation of the electrolyte in electrochemical CO sensors and premature failure of the detector. A few days now and then is no problem, but if the aircraft or vehicle is to be stored out of doors for a week or more, the detector should be removed and kept in a more temperate location. Because of its larger-capacity sensor, the CO Experts Model 2010 can tolerate more abuse than most CO detectors, but ultimately its sensor life will be shortened by prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Cold temperatures generally have no adverse effect on these units.
