There are greater than 100,000 different types of mold. Most common household molds require a humidity level of greater than 30% RH to grow. Mold Away will start picking up moisture at 5% RH and will keep the humidity level below 30% RH.
Mold Away is specifically designed for use in confined areas where moisture may contribute to the growth of household molds. Mold Away is most effective in areas of less than 60 cubic feet, such as the area under kitchen and bathroom sinks.
The product has a moisture indicator card that will read the amount of moisture collected inside the Tyvek bag. As the bag absorbs moisture the 5%, 15%, and 30% dots will gradually turn pink, therefore informing the consumer when the bag should be replaced. The Tyvek bag will sit in a Desiccare designed plastic caddy which enhances functionality and is aesthetically appealing.
